Led by experienced tutor Dana Allan, this course offers expert guidance in a structured and supportive environment. Ensuring students develop the skills and confidence to approach their GCSE English Literature exams with clarity and precision.

Hi, I’m Dana and I’ll be teaching English Literature in the upcoming GCSE Crash Course!

I’m currently studying LLB Law with French Law at the University of Birmingham, and during my GCSEs, I was able to get a 9 in both English Literature and English Language.

I’ve been tutoring English for Next Gen Tutors since September 2023 and it has been incredibly fulfilling to see my students gain more confidence in the subject and find it more enjoyable than they did at school. I enjoy sharing my passion of helping students discover the depth of literature, and helping them to create their own ideas. I guide my students through complex texts, helping them to analyse and plan a high-level answer. Most importantly, I aim to establish a space where they feel comfortable and confident to share their thoughts.

In this crash course, I will be guiding students step-by-step through the GCSE literature texts. Not only will I help them analyse the texts in greater depth than at school, I will also explore essay writing techniques to ensure that they feel confident and prepared walking into their exam!
